We build that work in the field. unmanned systems
QAYRA is a technology team of software, electrical-electronics, mechanical and AI engineering students at OSTİM Technical University. Our unmanned ground vehicle TUNGA placed 2nd in Turkey at the TEKNOFEST 2026 Unmanned Ground Vehicle Competition. Now we are taking the same discipline underwater and into air defense.
Who we are
Students from different engineering disciplines run design, manufacturing, software and testing together. We aim for systems that work in the field, not on paper: simplicity, early integration and lots of field tests.
Next — ALMILA
Our unmanned underwater system ALMILA pairs an autonomous underwater vehicle with a small tethered remotely operated vehicle. We are working on camera-based lane following, underwater position estimation and the two vehicles performing missions together, aiming at the advanced category of the TEKNOFEST underwater competition.
Next — Air defense
We are carrying the target detection and tracking experience from TUNGA's turret into air defense: a turret that recognises targets with computer vision and aims quickly and precisely on two axes. Mergen will work as a ground-based system, Hunter mounted on a vehicle.

We build systems that reduce human intervention in rough terrain and demanding missions, operating both manually and autonomously. Our first product TUNGA placed 2nd in Turkey at the TEKNOFEST 2026 Unmanned Ground Vehicle Competition. Next, while strengthening TUNGA's autonomous driving and perception, we will develop the unmanned underwater system ALMILA and the Hunter and Mergen air defense systems — and pass our competition experience on to new members to build a lasting engineering team.
